The Best Ways for Real Estate Professionals to Generate Leads Online

The busy season is rapidly approaching! I wanted to give a brief overview of the best ways to capture leads so you can catch the real estate wave and be a money-making machine.  Additionally, I briefly touch on the time it realistically takes for each lead generation avenue to yield a return. Whether you’re a seasoned real estate professional or totally new to the real estate game, these techniques are the best bang for your buck when it comes to lead generation.

Social Media Presence

Having a social media presence for your business is a no-brainer in this day and age. The Internet is the first place prospective buyers go when they are vetting businesses, so just having a presence gives you the upper hand against real estate professionals that do not. The general rule is to post on Facebook and Instagram once a day, Twitter 3-4 times a day (retweeting relevant articles is sufficient), LinkedIn and YouTube once a week. If all of that stresses you out, just pick two or three platforms and master them.

Facebook Advertising

Creating ads on Facebook is tricky and it’s best to do some research before blindly running an ad. Keep in mind, Facebook Ads policies and procedure are constantly changing (seriously!). Despite the constant flux, Facebook Advertising is the cheapest and fastest way to get quality leads online. Through Audience Targeting, you can get your ad in front of the right people that have the highest potential of needing your real estate services. Another perk of Facebook advertising: you can also run your ads on Instagram, thus getting your content in front of millennials and other Instagram users!

Blogging

A lot of digital sweat and toil goes into creating a blog and it takes time to generate leads; however, providing useful evergreen content to readers on your blog can eventually bring in leads. Blogging builds your SEO (more on that later!), which helps your content rank higher in search engines. Keep in mind that you have to be strategic in the content you provide by naturally weaving in keywords throughout your blog content.

YouTube

Cook & James has already said so much about YouTube, so I’ll keep this one short! Because YouTube is owned by Google and the second most-used search engine online, it is much easier to be seen on the first page of Google searches through your real estate YouTube videos. Ranking with your YouTube channel requires optimizing your YouTube videos and channel with the right keywords. Hate being on camera? Don’t worry, we already wrote a blog on that here!
