Chuck Biskobing the Newest Associate Attorney at Cook & James
by Kara Cook
Today, we are thrilled to announce that Chuck Biskobing, a veteran attorney who has participated in more than 5,000 real estate closings, has “officially” joined our team. Although he’s been working with us for nearly seven years, having him on staff brings distinct benefits.
Here’s what I said in our official news release today:
“Bringing Chuck on the attorney staff at Cook & James propels us further forward and positions us to provide yet deeper resources and expertise to our clients. Although he has been on our team in a consulting capacity, ‘formalizing’ the relationship today amplifies how clients can access Chuck’s knowledge and proficiency to a greater degree.”
Chuck is licensed in Georgia, Connecticut, South Carolina and North Carolina and assumes the position of Associate Attorney, effective immediately. A University of Georgia bulldog through and through, Chuck earned a BBA, magna cum laude in international business, economics and Spanish before attending UGA’s School of Law on the Bryant T. Castellow Memorial Scholarship. He won the Attorney’s Title Guarantee Fund Award for Excellence in the study of real estate law, and graduated in 2009. A difficult time to enter the world of real estate, he became skilled in bankruptcy law, personal injury and DUI before devoting his full attention to real estate closings in late 2010.
An avid outdoorsman, Biskobing once took a five-month hiatus in 2016 to hike the 2,189-mile Appalachian Trail. He also races cars with his brother in the 24 Hours of LEMONS, a series that challenges auto enthusiasts to keep “cheap cars running on the track for 24 hours.” Along with his fiancé, Biskobing has hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro and has scuba dived in Zanzibar. A member of the Atlanta Astronomy Club, he volunteers teaching children about stars and the galaxies.
